Ingredients for Classical Mother Cookie Recipe
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teacup strained yogurt
- Half teacup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 4-5 cups of flour
- 1 full teaspoon of baking soda
How to Make Classical Mother Cookies?
- We whisk eggs, yogurt, butter, and vegetable oil with a whisk.
- Then we add powdered sugar, baking soda, and some of the flour and mix with a spatula.
- We start kneading our dough by gradually adding the rest of the flour.
- After getting a slightly sticky dough, we roll pieces the size of an egg and shape them with our hands.
- We place our shaped cookies on our baking tray. I got 25 cookies with these measurements.
- After shaping all of our dough, we bake in a preheated 180°C convection oven for about 25 minutes.
- After the time is up, our classical mother cookies are ready to serve. Enjoy your meal!
Note: After sifting in 4 cups of flour, knead the dough, you can add more flour if necessary. We obtain a slightly sticky dough, you can shape it by pouring a few drops of olive oil on your hand.
