Orphan City Ordu! Rejection of Approval for a 2,000-Car Parking Lot in Ordu, Where the Speaker of the GNAT, Two Former Ministers, and Deputy General Secretary Were Present!

It has been announced that the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization rejected the request for the construction of a 2,000-car underground parking lot within the People’s Garden Project in Ordu.

417 IS ENOUGH FOR YOU, WHY 2,000?

The Ordu Coordination Board meeting was held at the Ordu Governorate Meeting Hall under the chairmanship of Ordu Governor Muammer Erol. At the meeting, Ordu Director of Environment and Urbanization Hüseyin Öztürk provided information on the topic. Öztürk stated that the Ordu Neighborhood Headmen’s Association submitted a petition within the scope of the People’s Garden project, requesting the construction of a 2,000-car parking lot instead of 417, and they conveyed the issue to the ministry, but received a negative response as the ministry rejected the request.

Prior to this, the Neighborhood Headman of Düz, Hakan Cemal Aydın, had stated, “The project should be revised to prioritize public interest. The underground parking lot to be built in this area will solve the parking problem of Ordu city center for many years and will also create a significant resource for the public. As neighborhood headmen, on behalf of the neighborhood residents and tradesmen, we want the ground floor of this area to be a closed parking lot for 2,000 cars.” MHP Ordu MP Naci Şanlıtürk had also announced that he would follow up on the issue.
