Ingredients for Apple Biscuit Recipe
- 1 egg
- 4.5 cups of flour (1 cup measure 200ml)
- 125 grams of butter or margarine (at room temperature)
- Half a cup of vegetable oil (preferably sunflower oil)
- 2 heaping tablespoons of yogurt
- 2-3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
- 1 full teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pack of vanilla
How to Make Apple Biscuit?
- First, cook our apples in a suitable pot with the addition of sugar. Let them simmer over high heat (so that the apples do not release too much liquid) and let them dry, stirring occasionally.
- After turning off the heat, add cinnamon and walnuts so that the cinnamon does not taste bitter. While waiting for it to cool, prepare our biscuit dough.
- For the dough; in our bowl, first, knead the solid oil, egg, vegetable oil, and yogurt by hand until they are combined.
- Then add powdered sugar, vanilla, baking powder, and flour, and knead. After the dough has come together, knead it for a few more minutes on the counter. It shouldn’t release too much of the vegetable oil in it.
- After preparing all of them, pinch off pieces of dough the size of a walnut, roll them in our palm, then roll them out on the counter with the help of a rolling pin.
- After opening all of them, make cuts in the middle and put the apple filling on one side, closing it by rolling from the end. Shape them with our fingers to look like a crescent and bend them slightly.
- Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated 180-degree oven with the fan on for 15-20 minutes.
- Every oven is different, please do not forget this. My oven baked this at this setting in 15 minutes.
- After cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar on top. Enjoy your meal to those who will try.
