Giresun Municipality has formed the ‘Sea Guardians’ team with the slogan ‘Clean Coast, Blue Sea’.
With this initiative started by Giresun Municipality, the aim is to include the beaches in the region in the “blue flag” beaches list as soon as possible.
During the event organized to introduce the ‘Sea Guardians’ team, Mayor of Giresun, Aytekin Şenlikoğlu, who participated in the beach cleaning activities with volunteer citizens, said, “In our city, which has the longest beaches in the Black Sea, we have formed a 30-person ‘Sea Guardians’ team with the slogan ‘Clean Coast, Blue Sea’. This team, specially created to keep our coasts clean, will immediately intervene in the pollution that will occur on our coasts and in our sea from now on.”
